« The harmonica is a key that opens many doors » says JJ Milteau... The harp was the key to freedom for the young Milteau, born in 1950 near la porte d’Italie, a working class neighbourhood. The blues bug, contracted at an early age, would later urge him to invite on his albums giants of afro American music such as : Gil Scott Heron, Terry Callier, Little Milton, neo soul princess N’Dambi and southern soul great Sam McClain. JJ was also instrumental in bringing nu bluez guru Mighty Mo Rodgers and texas vocal sensation Demi Evans to the attention the European blues fans. On his latest project JJ establishes a spirited soul conversation with vocalists Michael Robinson and Ron Smyth
